Addie is now 7 and a half months old.  She weighs 12 pounds, 15 ounces and is very healthy.  I detail her life and share pictures on her private blog.  E-mail me if you’d like the link.

6/14/2008:

Our sweet Adeline was born at 8:44 a.m. on Thursday, June 12th.  Obviously, being 26 weeks was a bit early, but she’s in great hands at our local children’s hospital.  We’ll keep you updated as things progress.  Please keep her in your prayers, and we appreciate all the support and encouragement y’all have poured out on us!

5/30/2008:

We had our second sonogram today and Addie is growing well!  She’s now 1 lb, 2 oz…so she’s almost doubled her weight from last month!  She’s still measuring smaller (younger?) than our expected due date, which means I’ll probably get to be pregnant longer than the middle of September…but so long as she’s healthy, we’re happy!

5/10/2008:

Tomorrow will be my first Mother’s Day!

We’re working on getting Adeline’s room ready for her (I think I may be in the nesting phase!); the second bedroom in our apartment is really big, so we’ll be able to keep the full size bed in there as well as her crib, bookshelves and changing area.

My mom and I have gone shopping a few times, and I’ve picked out some cute outfits for our sweet little girl.  I’m trying not to go overboard, but it’s hard not to! 

5/2/2008:

Well, we had our sonogram today, and our little girl is apparently very active!  It took a while for the technician to get a clear shot, but a daughter is in our future!  She’s measuring smaller than expected, so we’ll have another sonogram at the end of the month.  Please pray for sweet little Adeline (or Addie) to grow and the rest of the pregnancy to go smoothly!

4/17/2008:

Well here we are, at almost 18 weeks!  I am definitely showing now: a smooth little bump that used to be flat.  I’m only wearing maternity bottoms now and mostly flowy tops (thank goodness they’re in fashion now!)…  I’d love to show you a picture of my belly, but we still haven’t had the computer fixed.    Two more weeks till the next appointment, and hopefully we’ll know if the little one is a boy or a girl.  And yes, we have names picked out!

4/7/2008:

We had our doctor’s appointment last Friday and heard the baby’s heartbeat going strong at 145 bpm.    I actually lost weight since my last appointment, which isn’t too big a concern if it goes up by the next appointment.  Pray for healthy nutrition for us both; who’d think that I’d be TRYING to gain weight?

Next appointment, we will hopefully find out the gender of the baby!

3/23/2008:

Now that we’re in the second trimester, I feel great most of the time.    We have another doctor’s appointment in about two weeks!  Here’s a current picture:

3/5/2008:

So we had our doctor’s appointment this morning and heard our baby’s heartbeat!  It was beating (or whooshing) at 150 beats a minute, and it was amazing!  Adam and I both teared up a little…it’s just so real now.   :)  In other news, I gained a pound in six weeks time, so I’m feeling pretty good about that.

2/28/2008:

Here we are at eleven weeks already!  I have no idea how women have kept such a secret for their first trimester!!  If my co-workers didn’t know I was pregnant, I can only imagine how they would be talking about my suddenly strange changes to my body (specifically being constantly hungry and running to the bathroom once an hour!).  Just a week until we hear the heartbeat!!

2/19/2008:

Time seems to be going a bit faster now…or maybe just because work has been so busy!  It’s hard to believe that in seven months we’ll either have a baby or be getting ready for delivery!

2/11/2008:

We’re officially “eight weeks” now (actually, as of last Thursday)….so I’ve known about the pregnancy as long as I didn’t.  Just four more weeks until we’re in our second trimester and we go to the doctor again.  At that appointment, we’re scheduled to hear the baby’s heartbeat!

1/30/2008:

Another week has passed, without much “news” this time.  My body is definitely changing; I’m dealing with bouts of exhaustion, dizziness, and sometimes a bit of nausea.  (No throwing up, yet, so that’s good!)  Adam and I love talking about the baby and planning for our life as a family of three.

1/23/2008:

Adam and I went to our first doctor’s appointment this morning.  We’ll be six weeks pregnant tomorrow with an estimated due date of September 18, 2008.
